Business Development Manager


$60,000 - $100,000 Salary + Commission Structure

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and collaborate with our professional service team to propose tailored solutions that deliver maximum value and ROI (Return on Investment) for potential clients.

Your role will play a vital part in empowering organizations to achieve their strategic goals by identifying and pursuing partnership opportunities, developing and executing sales strategies, and building and expanding relationships with clients. You will play a crucial role in leading the business development efforts at Echo and supporting our strategic growth and expansion initiatives.


  • Establish trust and strong working relationships with all client stakeholders from C-Suite to individual team members. Identifying key decision-makers and influencers and developing a stakeholder management plan to ensure successful business development efforts. 

  • Drafting and submitting proposals, SOWs, RFPs, and other documents to potential clients in a timely and professional manner. 

  • Following up with potential clients to address any questions or concerns they may have regarding proposals, SOWs, RFPs, and other documents. 

  • Negotiating contract terms and conditions with potential clients to ensure that the company's interests are protected. 

  • Maintaining accurate records of all proposals, SOWs, RFPs, and other documents submitted to potential clients, as well as their status and outcomes. 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and execute sales strategies, and drive revenue growth. 

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market, competitors, technology partners, and client needs to inform business development efforts. 

  • Work with our partners to strengthen relationships with their organization and sales teams and expand opportunities to collaborate.  

  • Improve the Echo business development pipeline workflow, targets, and metrics to provide visibility into the business development process and results.  

  • Collaborate with the Echo team to develop and enhance sales collateral like proposals, decks, demos, etc, plan and execute on key events, and collaborate on the content pipeline. 

  • Provide outstanding customer service and resolve client issues throughout the sales process. 


  • 5 years enterprise sales experience 

  • Experience working at a startup a must 

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth through business development efforts. 

  • Experience with SaaS licensing, Work Management / Project Management technologies, and selling B2B / Professional Services preferred.  

  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills. Enjoys learning and sharing knowledge throughout the relationship life cycle 

  • Results-driven individual who is a self-starter and is comfortable balancing short-term targets and long-term strategic goals. 

  • Proven ability to listen and interpret client needs, recommend solutions, and lead/participate in business development efforts.
