Lack of clarity around the ownership and role stakeholders play within a project can lead to miscommunications, unclear workflows and important items falling through the cracks.  

Similar to a RACI, RASCI is an accountability tool used to define the roles and responsibilities. This tool can be used at the general project level or can be used in a matrix at the activity level to determine who needs to be responsible, accountable, supportive, consulted, or informed of project activities or deliverables. The RASCI Matrix is a simple spreadsheet or table that lists all stakeholders on a project and their level involvement in each activity as noted with the letters R, A, S, C or I.
