Programming can glitch, servers can crash, and so much more can go wrong. So what do you do when you're running into software malfunctions? Head to the status page! A status page is an essential resource to determine if your experience is normal, or a sign of a larger issue with the software. And in a recent webinar, Echo & StrAlign founder Molly Yanus shared that when she chooses a platform for projects, the status page is her secret clue into how the tool performs over time. Check out this pro tip for future use! In a webinar highlighting the utilization of the status page to assess a platform, you'd aim to cover the following key aspects: Introduction to Status Pages: Begin by introducing what a status page is and its significance in evaluating a platform's performance and reliability. Explain that a status page provides real-time updates on the operational status of a platform's services, including any incidents or outages. Importance of Monitoring Platform Status: Emphasize why it's essential for users and businesses to monitor the status of the platforms they rely on. Discuss the impact of downtime or service interruptions on productivity, customer satisfaction, and revenue. Key Metrics and Indicators: Highlight the key metrics and indicators available on a status page that users should pay attention to when evaluating a platform. This may include uptime percentage, incident history, response time, and maintenance schedule. Navigating the Status Page: Walk attendees through how to navigate a typical status page effectively. Show them where to find critical information such as current status, recent incidents, historical data, and any relevant announcements or updates from the platform provider. Interpreting Status Page Information: Provide guidance on how to interpret the information displayed on a status page. Explain how to distinguish between different incident statuses (e.g., investigating, identified, resolved) and understand their implications. Using Status Page for Decision Making: Discuss how users can use the information from a status page to make informed decisions about their usage of the platform. This may include determining whether to proceed with critical tasks, communicating with stakeholders, or seeking alternative solutions during outages. Integration with Monitoring Tools: Highlight how status pages can be integrated with monitoring tools and services to receive automated alerts and notifications. Show examples of how users can set up alerts based on specific criteria, such as downtime exceeding a certain threshold. Best Practices for Platform Evaluation: Share best practices for leveraging status pages as part of the platform evaluation process. This may include regularly monitoring the status page, comparing performance metrics across different platforms, and considering historical reliability. Case Studies and Examples: Provide real-world case studies or examples of how businesses have used status pages to evaluate platform performance and mitigate risks. Highlight success stories or lessons learned from incidents and outages. Q&A Session: Conclude the webinar with a Q&A session where attendees can ask questions and seek clarification on any topics related to using status pages to evaluate a platform. Encourage participation to ensure attendees leave with a comprehensive understanding of the topic. ---- ➡️ Resources for You: Our Website - https://echoprojectmanagement.com/ Meet with Us - https://www.echoprojectmanagement.com/schedule-meeting Our LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/echo-consulting-pm/ Subscribe Here: https://www.youtube.com/c/EchoConsulting?sub_confirmation=1 ➡️ Recommended Playlists: Project Management - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozVgrvT9BlU&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg7P_Cxs2CAIm6dW55LNPpKf Microsoft 365 Tips & Tricks - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meWGjWvNc3Q&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg7i3llBtnGkWI_rOF1x-r3V ClickUp Tips & Tricks - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rCwzCVSP7I&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg6X1Mv27JAgxCm17xxbauvM Smartsheet Tips & Tricks - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQazpDmRWis&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg6eBqKtnAtWk3iJS_-mpyiX Webinars - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2LH1Gytj5g&list=PLO3D1ido-Qg4Evvvww8gtUgVgc05f2Qup SEO TAG: webinar, best automated webinar platform, webinar platform features, webinar platform pricing, best webinar platform, which webinar platform is best, how to create project status report, insights management platform, how to make a website, how to create a social media strategy, webinar marketing, research platform, status report template, clickhouse webinar, project status report template, social platforms, how to use cartoons in training SEO HASHTAG: #Webinar, #Highlight, #Using, #Status, #Page, #Evaluate, #Platform, Play Video Play Video 03:59 Webinar Highlight: Most Common Challenges in Project Management What are the biggest pain points for teams managing multiple projects? So how do you record, track, and manage changes before they become risks or issues? In this video Echo Founder Molly Yanus breaks down the change and change request process, and shares how a CRAID log can help your team stay on top of frequent changes. Think you'd like to join in for the live session of our next webinar? Check out our upcoming events here: https://www.echoprojectmanagement.com/upcoming-events Managing changes effectively within project management, especially using the CRAID (Concerns, Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) framework, involves a structured approach to addressing evolving circumstances. Here are some best practices: Establish a Change Management Process: Define a clear change management process that outlines how changes will be identified, evaluated, approved, and implemented. Incorporate the CRAID framework into your change management process to ensure that changes are assessed in the context of their potential impact on concerns, risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies. Regularly Review CRAID Log: Schedule regular reviews of the CRAID log with project stakeholders to identify emerging concerns, risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies. Use these reviews to assess the impact of changes on the project and prioritize actions accordingly. Assess Change Impact: Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on the project's scope, schedule, budget, resources, and objectives. Consider how changes may affect existing concerns, risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, and adjust plans accordingly. Prioritize Changes: Prioritize changes based on their urgency, importance, and potential impact on project success. Use criteria such as severity, likelihood, and potential mitigation strategies to prioritize changes within the CRAID framework. Communicate Effectively: Communicate changes to relevant stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner. Clearly communicate the rationale behind proposed changes, as well as their potential implications for the project. Update CRAID Log: Update the CRAID log to reflect any changes that impact concerns, risks, assumptions, issues, or dependencies. Document the reasons for changes and any actions taken to address them. Monitor and Track Changes: Monitor the implementation of approved changes and track their progress over time. Use the CRAID framework to monitor changes and their effects on project performance, and adjust plans as necessary. In this video, Molly, provides an overview of Risk Management and techniques including the C.R.A.I.D. Log. Watch how a simple, yet, effective tool like Echo's CRAID Log can help your team can improve communication, increase visibility and accountability to drive better project results. The C.R.A.I.D. log is a helpful tool for teams to be more proactive and get out of the constant "fire-fighting" mode of only reacting to immediate issues. Using a shared and ongoing CRAID or RAID log increases transparency and accountability through an executable and trackable sheet to provide your team the visibility they need to act and prioritize more proactively. Managing risks and issues effectively is crucial for successful project management. Here's an overview of how to manage risks and issues using the CRAID (Concerns, Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) framework: Identify Risks and Issues: Start by identifying potential risks and issues that could impact your project's success. Risks are events or conditions that may occur in the future and could have a negative impact on your project, while issues are current problems that need to be addressed. Use brainstorming sessions, risk workshops, historical data, and expert judgment to identify risks and issues proactively. Assess Impact and Likelihood: Once risks and issues are identified, assess their potential impact on the project objectives and their likelihood of occurring. Consider factors such as severity, probability, urgency, and dependencies when assessing risks and issues. Prioritize Risks and Issues: Prioritize risks and issues based on their significance and potential impact on the project. Use techniques such as risk scoring, risk matrices, and risk registers to prioritize risks and determine which ones require immediate attention and mitigation. Develop Risk Response Plans: Develop response plans to address identified risks and mitigate their potential impact on the project. Response strategies may include risk avoidance, risk mitigation, risk transfer, or risk acceptance, depending on the nature of the risk and the project context. Monitor and Track Risks and Issues: Implement a systematic process for monitoring and tracking risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Use tools such as risk registers, issue logs, and CRAID logs to document and track risks and issues over time. Respond to Risks and Issues: Implement response plans to address identified risks and issues in a timely manner. Assign owners and stakeholders responsible for executing response plans and monitoring their effectiveness. Communicate and Escalate: Maintain open communication channels with project stakeholders to keep them informed of risks and issues and their potential impact on the project. Establish escalation procedures to ensure that significant risks and issues are escalated to the appropriate level of management for resolution. Review and Learn: Conduct regular reviews of risk and issue management processes to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement. Use project retrospectives and post-implementation reviews to capture insights and best practices for future projects. By following these steps and leveraging the CRAID framework, project managers can effectively identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate risks and issues, ultimately increasing the likelihood of project success. • Project Health Guide | Echo Consulting

RESOURCE DOWNLOAD Guide for Calculating Project Health A helpful, but sometimes overlooked metric when tracking projects is project health. A "RYG" project health indicator can be a simple, yet effective way to know the status of a project at a glance, but when one team member thinks the project is Red and another considers it Yellow, who is right? If you don't have guidelines in place, it's tempting to just ignore health and pretend it's not there. This is why it's important to have criteria for each category so the entire team is using the same measurements and classifications, and it's easy to see where a project belongs. We coach clients every day on using client health, so we've developed a handy guide to help you, too.
